ABSTRACT

Novel antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are a hot spot in the research and development of new drugs for advanced solid tumors. ADCs have achieved significant efficacy in the treatment of advanced breast cancer, urothelial carcinoma, gastric cancer and other solid tumors, but their adverse reactions such as ocular toxicity, pulmonary toxicity, hematological toxicity, and liver toxicity cannot be ignored, and it is crucial to effectively deal with the adverse reactions of ADCs.

ABSTRACT

Hypersplenism is a common and serious complication in patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension. Currently, the therapeutic options for severe hypersplenism mainly include total splenectomy, partial splenic embolization, local thermal ablation, splenic artery ligation, surgical shunt, and partial splenectomy. This article discussed the current progress in the relative mechanisms and invasive treatment of severe secondary hypersplenism in the patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

ABSTRACT

The level of viral DNA in patients with occult hepatitis B virus infection (OBI) is very low, and it is difficult to detect the conventional serum marker-HBsAg. OBI brought challenges to the clinical diagnosis and treatment and blood transfusion safety. The mechanism involved in OBI and the clinical implication are getting more and more attention. OBI has a complex mechanism that may involve host factors, the virus itself, and other viral or nonviral factors. OBI has the risk of HBV transmission. HBV can be reactivated and the liver disease can be aggravated in patients with OBI.

ABSTRACT

Idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury (IDILI) is a kind of unique adverse drug reaction with relative high morbidity compared with other idiosyncratic diseases. Its occurrence, however, has nothing to do with pharmacological effects and clinical dosage of drugs administered, and only a small number of susceptible individuals will suffer from it. Especially to deserve to be mentioned, the proportion of TCM-induced IDILI showed an ascending trend year by year. So in this article, the author has reviewed some facts related with TCM-induced IDILI, including the predisposing causes and occurrence mechanism, and tries to provide reference for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of TCM-induced IDILI through the analysis of characteristics and research status of TCM-induced IDILI and exploration of the internal relationship between Chinese medicine constitution type and IDILI.
